The Evergreen Hurricanes Swim Team Board of Directors consists of seven voting members -- six parent volunteers and the head coach. The Board meets on the second Monday of every month, at 5:30 p.m., usually in the Community Room at the Evergreen Rec Center. All interested team members are welcome to attend.

Susan has an 11-year-old daughter, Cori Mayer, who swims in Category 2. This is Cori’s third year on the Hurricanes. Susan has served on the Board since May, 2006. Last year Susan was the board secretary. As co-president, she has taken charge of registration and updating the team website, as well as other responsibilities.

Freda’s 12-year-old daughter, Lexi, swims in Category 3. She has been on the team since 2005. Freda joined the Board in August 2006, and chaired the process of conducting a team survey. As co-president, she has taken the lead on team reorganization and developing the 07/08 budget as well as many other duties.

Caryn’s daughter, Josie, is 10 and has been swimming with the team since May 2006. Caryn served on the hiring committee that brought Coach Jeff to the team last summer, and she joined the Board in August 2007. Caryn brings a lifetime of swimming experience, as well as business knowledge, to her role as Treasurer.

Elaine has two daughters who swim in Category 3 – Sarah(13) and Amy (11), both of whom are also accomplished runners. Elaine, who has volunteered for the team in many capacities over the years, joined the Board as secretary in September, 2007.

Susan has two daughters currently on the team, Anna (Category 3) and Kate (Category 1). Susan served on the hiring committee last spring and summer, and joined the Board in August, 2007.  As an at-large member this year, she will focus her energies on publicity and recruitment efforts for the team.

Michael’s daughter Kaitlyn, age 9, has been swimming with the team for two years and is on Category 2. Michael joined the Board in September, 2007, and will be the point person on the Board for the Hytek and Colorado Timing systems systems needed to run our meets.

Jeff joined the team, and the Board, in August, 2007. We are delighted to have him in Evergreen and excited about the positive changes he has already brought to the Hurricanes.
