SUPERBOWL MEET: FEB 6 & 7
This is our big, two-day meet, and one of our biggest fundraising efforts of the year.  We expect about 280 swimmers to participate - please give the visiting teams priority for seating in the bleachers.

TEAM TRIP TO FLORIDA: MEETING WED, FEB 3
Coach Jeff is working on the logistics of the team trip to Florida to compete in the Sarasota Open. The dates are June 23 - June 30.  Any swimmer who is interested in going must attend a meeting at the pool on Wednesday, Feb 3, at 5:45pm with a parent.  The first deposit of $350 is due on Feb 9 so that we can guarantee the airfare. 

LONG COURSE MEET SCHEDULE

For those of you making plans for summer, the meet schedule for long course is now on the website under "Meets".  The dates for two meets in July have not been finalized - they will be decided on at the State meet in March. 

SHORT COURSE CHAMPIONSHIP MEETS COMING UP
Short course season runs from September through March, and the championship meets are on the horizon.  Swimmers must meet qualifying times for these meets - Silver State (up to age 14) and Senior State (ages 15 and over) will be held from Feb 26-28th at DU, and the Short Course State Meet (also referred to as "JOs") is in Fort Collins from March 5-7th.  Our team hosts the Season Finale meet on Sunday, March 21, which serves as the big end-of-season meet for those who did not qualify for either of the state championship meets.

TUESDAY PRACTICE FOR CAT 3 & 4  6:00-8:00pm
Starting Tuesday, Feb 2, the practice schedule will return to normal on Tuesdays for Cats 3 & 4.

ALL STAR RESULTS
Our team was represented on Team Colorado by Ben Holland, Josie Pearson, Katelyn Kenchel, and Lexie Malazdrewicz.  Check out the results on the Meets page.  Lexie won Girls 13-14 high point, and broke her team records for the 500 free, 200 fly, and 400 IM.  Ben dropped time in all his events, Katelyn went best times in 3 out of 5, and Josie dropped 5.71 in the 500 free. Congratulations to all of them for some awesome swimming!! 

OFFICIALS' TRAINING SESSIONS FEB 20-21

A FEW REMINDERS FROM THE BOARD
Invoices are due on the 15th of the month, or you will be assessed a $25 late fee.  You can pay by check or credit card.  We recommend you use your online banking so that your payment is never late or forgotten! 

Board meetings are on the 2nd Monday of the month from 12 - 1:30pm.  Contact Kathy Lahr (kjlahr@yahoo.com) if you have an agenda item or are interested in attending.

We still need more team parents to train as officials - talk to Coach Jeff or Kathy Lahr if you might be willing to help the team out in this vital role.

Another key role for which we need volunteers is serving on the Board.  The board serves from September through August - but it is never too early to come to a meeting a see what is involved in being part of the board.  Each year we need to fill 3 seats - this year it will be Vice President, Secretary, and an At-Large position.  Talk to Kathy Lahr or Coach Jeff to learn more.
