1st Cat 1 Practice Meet will be Tonight During Regularly Scheduled Practice

Dear Cat 1 parents,

I'm excited to announce that each of the Fridays, Jan 13, Jan 20,
Jan 27  and Feb 3 cat 1 swimmers will be swimming in a
Practice Meet during regularly scheduled practice time. These meets
are to build team confidence and competence so that most of the
swimmers are comfortable competing in the February Finale at Meyers
pool, and the Mile high Champs in March at Meyers
pool. 

I'll be adding team events for cat 1 only. The practice meets have
been added to the team website these weeks so that parents can view
the calendar and commit to attending meets in the same way we ask
you to do for our official meets. l would ask for you to please log
in and commit your athlete to as many meets as possible here.

All meets will be held from 4-5 pm each Friday. We will also be
asking for help from parents, specifically to help as timers.
Please note that my goal is to simulate and teach the entire meet
process in a low pressure environment: sign up, timing, warm up
procedures, reading a heat sheet, finding the right place behind
the blocks, and race protocol.

The Heat Sheet for tonight's practice meet was emailed earlier today. I will provide copies
at practice too. I entered all registered swimmers into this meet.
If your swimmer cannot attend this evening that is not a
problem.

I hope to see you all and all your swimmers at each of these
meets.
