Well done to all the Hurricanes who competed in the North Jeffco Season Kickoff on Saturday!
For better or worse, each competitive opportunity is going to be different. Sometimes everything feels great, sometimes it feels all wrong. Occaisionally you are the big fish, and other times it feels like you are in way over your head.
In this case, our inconsistent start to the training season gave us little reason to feel sharp and confident. Nonetheless, a great athlete has a habit of putting forth an outstanding effort under every circumstance.
We had a number of best times on Saturday; including from dual champions in the 8 & under 25 backstroke. Way to go Ruby Richards and Johnny Pursley!
Though our times from this first meet matter little, the opportunity to practice performing your best matters greatly. I thought we did a good job of that across the board.
