Loveland Holiday Showdown - Meet Information
We have received the meet information for the Loveland Holiday Showdown. The meet document has been posted on our website under the Events/Competition page.
Detailed information about the meet can be seen in this document, but here are some important highlights:
Meet Dates:
December 16-18
Registration Deadline: Friday December 2
Location:
Mountain View Aquatic Center, 3560 Mountain Lion Drive, Loveland CO, 80537
Swimmers can enter up to 3 events per day.
Each event is $10.00 and a swimmer surcharge of $15.00 will be applied for every swimmer entered to compete.
Format:
Prelim/Final for all age groups with the Top 8 swimmers of each age group, each gender returning for Finals on Saturday and Sunday. Both events on Friday evening will be Timed Final swims, meaning a one time swim only.
For those new to this format, a basic description is that each swimmer will swim in the morning sessions of boh Saturday and Sunday. When the event is complete, the Top 8 fastest times in the event will qualify for Finals. This means that these swimmers will return to the pool in the afternoon/evening and swim the event again in a Finals championship heat! This is a team championship meet that functions VERY well for our team. Attending last year, the coaching staff had nothing but positive feedback about the meet structure and how it was ran. We highly encourage ALL Hurricane swimmers to attend this meet!

The coaching staff will be doing entries over the weekend after the deadline closes and we will upload the entry report (where you can view your swimmer's events) to the event page on our website.
