Hello Hurricane's Families,
I'd like to give a huge shout out to all the Hurricane's who competed on Saturday in the North Jeffco Season Kickoff! Our swimmers were absolutely outstanding for an early season meet.
The Senior swimmers showed a lot of readiness for this season and are well on the path to a great meet at PPA in a few weeks. Our 12 and unders achieved an astonishing 96% best times! The swimmer of the meet was Jacq De Jager who dropped a combined 26.90 seconds in his four events and swam with a truly breakthrough level of skill and intensity!
It was awesome to have all age groups together in one session. I was delighted by the support and enthusiasm we demonstrated all day long. Congrats to all the Hurricanes for a great start to our fall season!

Troutdale Tavern Fundraising Dinner
We will be hosting our second Troutdale Tavern Fundraiser on Tuesday, October 24th. Please save the date and stay tuned for more details. Our last Fundraiser brought in over $4,400, and we have heard of other organizations generating twice that amount! We plan on hosting 2 of these dinners per year, and they are a huge opportunity for our team. Please plan to come have a great meal and bring along your friends, family, neighbors, and anyone else interest in supporting the Hurricanes!
We still have about half of our troutdale Tavern giftcards still available for sale. To purchase, please sign up here. If you have purchased cards already, they are now available on the pool deck on the coaches table (really... they are!).
Note that the gift cards are valid any time EXCEPT during tuesday Night fundraising events such as ours on October 24th.
Bulk Equipment Order
Starting tomorrow through next wednesday, orders at the Agonswim store will be combined into a bulk shipment. Shipping will be free, so you'll have a chance to save a little bit off of the regular prices. If you have been putting off orders from Agonswim this week is a great time to do it. To participate, just place any order from Agonswim between the morning of Wednesday, 9-27 and the end of the day on Wednesday 10-4 and your order wil automatically wrapped into the bullk order. Hotel Booking for PPA Harvest Heats
We have a block of rooms at the Marriot near PPA. Rooms are $139 per night and include breakfast for two and double Marriot points. You can book your room with the group rate here. There are many hotels in the area, some with cheaper rates. Much of our team has enjoyed getting together at the Marriot in the past, but please feel free to use your discretion to stay where you choose.
Category 1 Snack Signup
Carolyn Weaver has been nice enough to set up a sign up genious for Category 1 parents to provide Friday snacks as aa special treat for our Category 1 swimmers. If you are interested in pitching in, please sign up here.
