CSI Pioneer Open registration deadline

Our first championship meet is the Pioneer Open at DU the weekend of December 1-3.  This is a qualifying meet, meaning you have to achieve certain times to be allowed to participate.

I have attached a document to this email (also posted to website under the meet name on Events page) that is called an eligibility report.  It shows which Hurricanes have achieved qualifying times for this meet, as of today.  The events where times HAVE been achieved are in the white boxes, and all events where the qualifying times HAVE NOT been achieved are in gray.  If your swimmer is not listed on this document, then they are currently not qualified.  The meet information document is posted on the website (same place) that can be used to see what days of the meet your athlete is qualified for by looking at the event line up for each of the three days.  Please reivew this document knowing that this meet is a FULL THREE DAYS for all swimmers.  Checking the eligibility report and meet information documents will show you whether they are slated to swim Friday during school hours.

11&Older athletes will compete Friday morning, Saturday morning, and Sunday morning for prelims, and have potential to qualify for the Finals sessions on the evenings of all three days.

10&Under athletes will compete Friday, Saturday, and Sunday afternoons (approximately 1:00pm warm ups) and will be timed final, which means they only swim their events once, not in prelim/final format.

***The Turkey Trot this Saturday is the last chance to qualify.  If your swimmer would attend the Pioneer Open upon qualifying from the Turkey Trot, please go ahead and commit them to the meet just in case.  If they end up not qualified, we will remove their name from the list of participants before sending entries in.

The registration deadline for the Pioneer Open will be this Sunday, November 19th at midnight.  With entries due to CSI by Monday afternoon, this is the latest that we can keep the registration open.  No exceptions will be made for late attempts to enter this one.  

With this being a championship meet with a different format than our typical meets ont he schedule, please reach out with any questions you have AFTER reviewing the documents listed above.  All start times, entry fees, qualifying standards, etc are provided in these documents.
