Welcome back to the pool! We had a great first week with many new swimmers joining us and many returning Hurricanes eagerly swimming with smiles and excitement!

As the first email of the season, we have a number of important announcements so please check everything out below! As always, if you have any questions, please reach out and I'll respond as quickly as I can!
2024-2025 Registration:
As we enter the first week of the regular practice schedule, the registration countdown begins! We will need ALL active Hurricane swimmers to be registered for the season by the end of this week. We will send out reminders throughout the week, but anyone NOT registered by Monday, September 16th will be held out of the water until registration is complete.
How to Register for the Hurricanes:
1. Go to www.evergreenswimteam.org
2. On the homepage, click the tab titled “2024-2025 Registration is Open → Click Here"
3. Read through the registration information and billing details.
4. Scroll down and select the item to Add to Cart. (Make sure to register for the right group!)
5. Add to Cart ( includes the registration fee and first month’s dues)
How to Register for USA Swimming:
After this registration through Evergreen Hurricanes is processed, you will receive an email from Evergreen Hurricanes with an “invitation” to join USA Swimming. All swimmers on the Hurricanes must be registered through USA Swimming. Open the link provided in the email and follow the steps for USA Swimming registration.
*12 and Under swimmers may choose either the Premium membership which allows all practices and as many swim meets as you would like, OR the Flex Membership which includes all practices and up to 2 swim meets in the calendar year. Once the second swim meet of a Flex membership occurs, Flex members must upgrade to the Premium membership to be able to participate in swim meets.
Parent Meeting Wednesday, September 11 at 5:30pm
We will hold our beginning of the season parent meeting this Wednesday at 5:30pm at the Wulf Pavilion outside of the rec center (over by the playground area). Please try to send one parent for each swimmer to this meeting as we will be discussing many things about the Hurricanes. Whether you are new to the team or a seasoned veteran, the information discussed will be very helpful as we navigate through the first few months of the season!
Team Store for Hurricane Gear!
We have a new team store link that is through Denver Athletic. There is quite a bit of awesome apparel with a revamped Hurricanes logo that is available for purchase!

This team store will close on Monday, September 16th at 11:59pm. After it closes, we will have to wait a couple of weeks/months before we open it up again for another wave of apparel orders.
Please note that this store is in addition to the Free Team T-shirt and Swim Cap that is included with your 2024-2025 registration. Those items will be handed out beginning later this week. However, the team store has options beyond the free t-shirt that are amazing! So check it out and order before next Monday is over!
