WE NEED HURRICANE OFFICIALS - PLEASE REACH OUT TO JB IF YOU ARE INTERESTED!!
Step 1: Email Kathy Hellard, Coach Jordan and JB to declare intent and to get registered as an affiliated Official Apprentice with Evergreen Hurricanes (typically Stoke & Turn is where you start, but also need Admin Officials)
Step 2: Follow the LINK (Kathy will send) to USA Swimming Account and register
Step 3: Complete the Online Training from USA Swimming University (Education Tab, Officials Category)
- Background Check
- Foundations of Officiating
- Admin Official and/or Stroke and Turn Official
- Concussion Protocol
- Athlete Protection Training
Step 4: Complete On the Deck training - will work with Coach Jordan on scheduling with Meet Officials
- You will need to buy all white polo shirts, black shorts/pants, black shoes and black socks
- JB will send forms/documentation that you will need the Meet Officials to fill out
- Depending on Stroke and Turn or Admin Official, there are minimum session requirements for CO Swimming
Step 5: Once Online Training and On the Deck Training is completed, work with JB/Coach Jordan to send in to CO Swimming for certification
NOTE: All training fees will be reimbursed by the Hurricanes
