Friday Practice Change / Swim Meet Schedule Change / Holiday Break Practices

There are a few quick schedule updates I'd like to share with you:

This Friday, December 13 there will be no practices for all groups.  In the previous email about changes, this one was not included by mistake.  There is an EHS swim meet at Wulf Friday evening.  Saturday is also cancelled (previously communicated) due to staff being up in Loveland for the swim meet!

Swim Meet Schedule Change:

The next meet on our schedule after the Loveland Holiday Showdown was the Pineapple Invite at the New Meyers pool.  After reaching out to the host club for meet information, we learned that we were not invited to this meet for various reasons (none of fault or anything like that).  Though we were added to the waitlist for this meet, we went ahead and decided to change the meet schedule so that we wouldn't be hanging on to hope and miss out on alternative possibilities.  Therefore, we are going to attend the CUDA Classic at VMAC the weekend of January 17-19.  This is the meet we have been to for the past three years or so- we had just replaced it with the Pineapple Invite when that was seemingly an option.  The entries for this meet are due to the host club no later than January 3rd, so we are going to set a team registration deadline for December 31 at midnight!  If you wish to attend any or all of this meet, please commit your swimmer before this deadline.  Please note that this is the weekend AFTER the Pineapple Invite dates that were on our calendar.  This meet fills up very quickly every year, so we will not have any flexibility for late entries in the name of getting our teams entry submitted the moment entries open.

Holiday Practice Schedule:

We are waiting to receive word on our options on one particular day of the winter break before everything is final, but the adjustments that are 100% locked in are as follows:

December 23 = regular practice schedule all groups

December 24 = No practice all groups

December 25 = No practice all groups

December 26-30 = regular practice schedule all groups

December 31 = TBD

January 1 = No practice all groups

January 2-5 = regular practice schedule all groups

Once we receive final word for December 31st, those decisions will be communicated to the respective groups.

We have 63 swimmers attending the Loveland Holiday Showdown this weekend- it's going to be a great team atmosphere as our athletes showcase their improvements and hard work this season!
