Registration Deadlines for Multiple Upcoming Events

NJST Ken Kelley Invite 

 

The registration deadline for the next meet on our calendar, the NJST Ken Kelley Invite in Arvada from May 16-18 will be set for  Monday, April 28th at midnight.  If you wish to attend any or all of this meet, please go in and sign up prior to the deadline.  The meet information is attached to the website under the meet name, where you can see all tentative start times, events per day, and associated costs with the meet.  Remember that we are in Long Course season now and this is a long course meet!  If you have any specific questions, please reach out to your swimmer's primary coach!

 

 

LOCK-IN Sign ups:

 

If your swimmer plans to attend the Lock-in this Friday- Saturday, please go in and register them on our website just as you would for a swim meet.  Click on the event named "Lock-In" and click the attend/decline button.  If you want to declare whether your swimmer is going to stay the whole night or get picked up at 10pm, you can do that in the NOTES box.  SIgning up for this event will help us with food and snack estimates so that we have enough for everyone there!

 

We also invite all parents to check out this sign-up genius link if you would like to help us pull this off by being around for any part of the lock-in.  The link to see available chaperone spots (just to help keep an eye on dozens of kids) is  HERE.

 

 

TEAM AWARDS BANQUET Sign-ups:

 

The next event after the Lock-in is the following Sunday, May 4th.  It is our annual Team Awards Banquet held at the Wild Game.  We order a taco bar based off of how many folks have signed up, so if you plan to attend, please go in and sign up the same way you would for a swim meet.  If you could also leave a note in the NOTES box as to how many from your family will be attending that would be great!  We will do awards and speeches from about 4:00-5:30pm and will have the dinner part at the end.  Wild Game has also reserved us some bowling lanes for after dinner, so don't miss out on all the fun and recognition of our amazing team!

 

 

FINALLY.....

 

The fundraiser side of the Lock-in is nearing its end!  We are currently sitting at around $8,300.00 with 8 days to go to collect funds.  As our original goal of $25,000 seems far off, there is still time!

 

So........

 

If we as a team can breach the $20,000 mark before May 1st,  the team can shave my head on Monday, June 30th.  Saying goodbye to the long hair has been a determined thing for 3+ years now, and it was originally going to be on my 40th birthday in June.  But in an effort to push towards our fundraising goal, I relinquish control of this act to the Hurricane family if we can get to the 20k mark in donations!

 

General scope of how it would work is the top earner would get to cut the ponytail, and then each swimmer working from top down on the top earners list would get a swipe with the buzzer, until there is no more hair to cut.   (Beard is 100% off limits).

 

So there you go.  Challenge has been put forth- lets see what we can do!
