Practice Schedule and Changes, Meet Details, and Registration Deadlines

Summer Practice Schedule:
 
Apologies to start for not having communicated this earlier.  After much deliberation about potential changes to the practice schedule for the summer, we have decided it is best to keep operating on the same schedule for ALL GROUPS this summer.  So nothing will change from our current practice schedule.  The last day of practice for the season before team break will be Thursday, July 24.
 
Upcoming Practice Changes:
 
There are several practice changes for the rest of May.  These are posted on the homepage of our website as well:
 
Friday, May 16 - No Practice All Groups (Away at Meet)
Saturday, May 17 - No Practice All Groups (Away at Meet)
Monday, May 18 - No Practice All Groups (Day off after meet)
Saturday, May 24 - No Practice All Groups (Memorial Day Weekend)
Monday, May 26 - No Practice All Groups (Memorial Day Weekend)

 

 
NJST Meet this weekend:
 
Our first Long Course meet of the season is this weekend at the AAC in Arvada.  If you haven't been to the new pool yet, get ready for a great experience!  The address is 7904 Carr Dr, Arvada, CO 80005.
 
Right now the schedule of the meet looks like this (small changes might be made):
 
Friday PM:
 
Warm-Ups: 4:00-4:50pm
Meet Starts: 5:00pm
 
Saturday and Sunday 10&Under Sessions:
 
Warm-Ups: 7:00-7:30am
Meet Starts: 7:40am
 
Saturday and Sunday 11-12 Sessions:
 
Warm-Ups: Approx 9:30-10:10am
Meet Starts: 10:20am
 
Saturday and Sunday 13&Over Sessions:
 
Warm-ups: TBD first or second between 1:15-2:15pm
Meet Starts: 2:25pm Saturday / 2:10pm Sunday
(Will send out exact warm ups for this session when received)
 
 
We have three very small timing shifts to cover at this meet:
 
The first one is Friday from beginning of meet until the 400 Free which is provide your own timer, making the shift time 5:00-7:10pm
 
The only other two come in the 11-12 session which will run from approximately 10:20am - 12:40am.  We will need one timer each day Saturday and Sunday for these two shifts.  If you have an 11-12 swimmer attending the meet, we will need to lean on you to take one of these shifts please!

MACS Suburban League Meet in Aurora Saturday June 7:
 
The registration deadline for the MACS SLQ meet is set for Sunday, May 25th.  We recommend only Cat 1 and Cat 2 consider attending this meet.  It is at a Short Course Meters pool in Aurora.  If you wish to attend, please sign up before the deadline.  Meet information can be found linked to the Event on our website.
 
NJST Solstice Invite June 6-8:
 
The registration deadline for the NJST Solstice Invite meet is set for Sunday, May 25th.   This is another long course meet at the AAC which offers a bunch of events.  We recommend all Hurricanes interested in the Long Course season register for this meet.  Meet information can be found linked to the Event on our website.
