AG State Meet Details
Hello Hurricane Families-
This email is going out to all swimmers attending the AG State Championships this weekend.
Please see the attached document with specific details about AFA access and parking. Our website has the parking map uploaded, timelines, psych sheets, and the FAQ doc attachment as well.
Make sure you complete the campus access form before arriving! If you do not, you can bet on being at least an hour late and possibly missing races/relays.
Arrival times for the meet:
With the challenges of long lines at the gates and navigating the chaos on campus this weekend, we recommend EVERYONE arrives for the team warm up times, regardless of how much later your swimmer is slated to compete. With relays being the first events on Saturday and Sunday morning for our 11-12 swimmers, we will have to turn in relay cards based off of who is actually present at warm ups. Please do everything in your power to be on time!
Timers Needed!
We have one timer spot to cover on all prelims sessions. This means we will need our 11-12 parents to cover these shifts. I have divided each day into two shifts. Please sign up for one of the 6 timer shifts. To help alleviate folks being there after their swimmers are done, please reference the timeline of events (on website) to see whether the first shift or second shift would suit you and the team better.
Last event Friday morning is the 400 Free
Last event Saturday morning is the 200 Breast
Last event Sunday morning is the 400 IM
If your swimmer is in either of these three events, please consider taking on the second shift for the day you sign up for.
We do not have any timing shifts in the PM session.

**State is a little different than other meets when it comes to missed swims. If a swimmer shows up late or miscues the meet and misses an event, they are withheld from all other events that day and have to check-in with the meet ref before competing the next day. This applies to the prelim/final events only. So 10&Unders are exempt from this penalty. If your swimmer misses a FINALS swim that they qualified for in prelims, they are withheld from the rest of the meet and the team is fined a penalty fee. Regardless of reason, there is no wiggle room or forgiveness in these scenarios. It is simply the format of the meet.
Lastly, we encourage all swimmers to wear their summer
Mission Impossible T-shirt on Friday. Feel free to wear all weekend, but lets all aim to sport the new shirt on day one of the meet!
Thanks,
Jordan
